Gorkha Municipality has recently completed its encouragement programme for poultry farming. The programme was held in ward no.3. The presidency of the programme was carried out by ward no. 3 president, Ram Bdr Bogati. The chief guest of the programme was carried out by Mayor, Rajan Raj Panta and as a guest, Deputy Mayor Bina Shrestha helped encourging for poultry farming. The different aspects covererd in the programme was:

1. Formulate a business plan.
2. Have land, capital and equipment. 
3. Make a decision how to best raise your chickens. 
4. Decide what sectors of the poultry industry you wish to pursue. 
5. Find a nice market, if possible. 
6. Make yourself known to potential customers and consumers.
